Pranvera Skana assumes office as Deputy Minister of Defence

Deputy Minister of Defence, Pranvera Skana, has officially taken office in a formal ceremony held at the premises of the Ministry of Defence.

The ceremony was held in the presence of senior civilian and military officials, underscoring the importance of this moment for the continuity and strengthening of the institution’s leadership structures.

Attending the ceremony were the Minister of Defence, Mr Ermal Nufi, the Deputy Minister of Defence, Mr Enkelejdi Joti, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Arben Kingji, as well as directors and representatives from the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

In her remarks, Deputy Minister Skana expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her and acknowledged the responsibility associated with her new role. She committed to contributing actively and consistently to advancing the priorities of the Ministry of Defence, as well as to strengthening inter-institutional cooperation and coordination.

Skana will serve as Deputy Minister during this new phase of institutional development, bringing her professional experience and demonstrated commitment to improving policies and practices in the field of defence and security. She is expected to play an important role in addressing current challenges and in strengthening cooperation among stakeholders and civil emergency management mechanisms.
