In Zagreb, Defence Minister Ermal Nufi met with Croatia’s Defence Minister, Ivan Anušić. The meeting once again reaffirmed the growing partnership between the two countries as NATO Allies.

Discussions focused on issues directly related to peace, security, and stability in Southeast Europe. Both ministers confirmed their readiness to move forward together in developing defence capabilities and strengthening the defence industry.
In this context, the trilateral declaration between Albania, Kosovo, and Croatia aims not only to enhance strategic coordination, but also to support economic development, with a particular focus on the defence sector.
In his remarks, Minister Nufi emphasised that peace remains the foundation of all engagement, adding that Albania continues to play an active role in maintaining regional stability by strengthening relations with Allies and deepening coordination with Brussels, in support of a more secure region and a shared Euro-Atlantic future.
For his part, Croatia’s Defence Minister, Mr Anušić, expressed appreciation for Albania’s role and the tangible progress achieved in its European Union accession process.
