Defence Minister Ermal Nufi meets Air Force Pilots at Farka Air Base

Minister Nufi: “Our heartfelt appreciation for your dedication, courage and sacrifice in every firefighting mission”

Minister of Defence Ermal Nufi met with Air Force pilots at Farka Air Base as Armed Forces personnel continue their intensive efforts to tackle wildfires during the summer season.

The meeting was also attended by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Arben Kingji, Commander of the Air Force, Brigadier General Edmond Voci, Air Force pilots, and drone operations officers.
The meeting provided Minister Nufi with an opportunity to personally thank the pilots for the professionalism, dedication and selflessness they have demonstrated while assisting communities affected by summer wildfires.

Minister Nufi praised their contribution to aerial firefighting operations and highlighted the crucial role of the Air Force in responding to emergencies and protecting lives, property and the environment.

The brief meeting carried a clear message of gratitude for every hour spent in the air, every mission completed and the pilots’ readiness to deploy under the most demanding conditions.
