This year, we have tried to bring security for the future. Albania is now a member of NATO; Albania today is on the path of the European Union, rightfully acquiring the status of a candidate country. But, Albania cannot become what our forefathers dreamed, what all of you here have worked for, if we do not remember the blood of the martyrs. They fought for an ideal, which must be kept up high and preserved with pride, which is the glory of this country. At the conclusion of her address, Minister Kodheli said: “I conclude my address by wishing from the heart, enjoy this festive day, let’s enjoy it all together and remember the heroes and martyrs of this country.”

The participants were addressed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Niko Peleshi.
