Minister Kodheli follows closely the situation in the District of Lezha

Minister Kodheli has ordered the Armed Forces to work 24 hour to normalize the situation and to enable the beginning of the learning process in the closed schools!
Defence Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli was today in Lezha District and followed closely the work being done by the Armed Forces structures to cope with the aggravated situation by rainfalls of yesterday’s afternoon and night. Troops and vehicles of the Armed Forces have worked throughout the night to eliminate the consequences of rainfalls and normalization of the situation in many areas, as in the City of Lezha and other areas of the region. Currently, the Armed Forces are engaged in Lezha, in Kolsh municipality and wherever it is needed by the residents.
Minister Kodheli, talking about the situation said that, it is a whole system that does not work, but we are taking a series of measures not only to cope with this situation, but also to avoid such situations in the future. Minister Kodheli has ordered the Armed Forces to work 24 hours to normalize the situation and to enable the beginning of the learning process in the closed schools!
The Minister of Defence, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli and the Minister of Interior, Mr. Samir Tahiri attended the Emergency Staff’s meeting in the Lezha Prefecture. Minister Kodheli stressed that the Armed Forces and Ministry of Defence have been and are supporting the State Police, local government and civil emergencies. We will be close to citizens and we are supporting not only them, but also the companies. She appealed to the residents of this county to show solidarity and contribute to clearing the areas affected by floods, while she asked the authorized structures and the media to help with information in order to be wherever it is required.
The Minister of Interior, Mr. Tahiri said that Lezha District faced an emergency situation, the emergency infrastructure was put under stress and unfortunately we lost three human lives. Both ministers continue to follow the situation in this district.
Meanwhile, the Armed Forces have intervened and helped to cope with the consequences of rainfalls in the city of Tirana, and have saved the archive of the Social Insurance Agency in Tapiza, Kruja. The Armed Forces operation will continue until the full normalization of the situation created by the rainfalls of the last days.
