Today, at the auditorium of MoD, was held a scientific conference on: “Development of military doctrine in a variable context of defence and security”. The conference was attended by: Defence Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo, MPs, generals, military researchers, historians, Armed Forces Military Academy’s professor, Defence Attachés, etc.

Defence Minister Kodheli addressed a welcome greeting to the attendees.

About 16 military and civilian lecturers referred at the conference.

The plenary session was introduced by CHOD, Major General Jeronim Bazo.

Afterwards, the conference continued in two sessions. In the first session were presented the lectures: “The development of doctrine in response to new challenges for Security and Defence”, by Major General Viktor Bërdo “The variation of the doctrine under a comprehensive approach” by Col. Dr. Ahmet Leka; “The concept of using the Armed Forces in joint operations”, by Col. Dr. Idriz Haxhiaj etc.

During the second session Major General Zyber Dushku presented the paper “NATO Integration and doctrine development perspective”; while Col. Prof. Dr. Edmond Braneshi “The strategic environment of security - risks, threats and opportunities of the 21st century”; and Col. Sami Neziti “The military doctrines in the context of European Security” etc.
