The 370 youths winners of the physical, intellectual and psychological tests of the new recruitment campaign for active soldiers/sailors in the Albanian Armed Forces are departing to the Troop School in Bunavi. The 370 youths were seen off by the Deputy Minister of Defence Mr. Petro Koçi and Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Major General Jeronim Bazo, at a ceremony held in the main square of the garrison "Skanderbeg".
By wishing them for this new challenge, Deputy Minister Koçi considered this as a very important moment in the life and career of every soldier, but also for the AAF. Deputy Minister praised the selection process of new recruits, about which expressed his regret regarding the participating women. "You are part of a well-defined legal process. We have given our maximum to avoid subjectivity and interference in the process of applying of those who have applied to be part of the AAF. I am glad that some of you are highly educated. I wish we could have even more girls, not only 24, but I am convinced that we will have more in other rounds of the competition. "- Said Mr. Koci, who praised the winners for their election and assured them for a challenging career in the ranks of the AAF. "Being a soldier is a great privilege; you must love the flag and also give your lives for it. You will contribute to the important structures of the Armed Forces. I am convinced that many of you tomorrow we take part in international missions in Afghanistan or elsewhere, where you will have to sacrifice. "- he said.
Chief of General Staff of the Albanian Armed Forces in particular thanked the families of new applicants, whom promised to visit their children in Bunavi during their stay there.
370 winners will be subjected to Individual Basic Training in Bunavi, which lasts 9 weeks. In the first phase of recruitment of new active soldiers/sailors in the AAF have applied 960 applicants, of whom 370 were stated winners.
