Today 342 militaries will jon the Albanian Armed Forces. The new recruits that have decided to join the AAF have taken their oath at the ceremony organized for their certification in the Troop Scool in Bunavi. Deputy Defence Minister Petro Koçi during his speech attributed this day as a special day and day of pride, which cannot repeated again, regardless of the careers that will make every member of military.
“Today you guarantee not only the Republic of Albania, but NATO as well, that you will be on the highest level of your duty not only to maintain the integrity of the Republic of Albania, or when the country’s population will be at risk, but also for being ready to serve peace and stability worldwide", he said. Mr. Koçi emphasized the fact that this is a day of pride and for those who become part of the best, purest and most transparent structure in the Republic of Albania.
I can remind you that only few days ago in a survey undertaken by IDRA, an institution that conducts surveys on anticorruption and on transparency of state activity, a project funded by the USA has clearly identified the conclusion that MoD and AAF are at the top of reliability for transparency in their activity”, said Mr. Koci.
The Mayor of Vlora Municipality considered this day as one of his most exciting days as a mayor, after all these recruits have chosen to give everything even that which is the most expensive for a man, life itself. "I listened to your oath and I was sincerely thrilled in a special way, because for me saying that I am ready to give my life for my country is the greatest thing that can be said by a man today," said Mr. Leli, as he thanked the new recruits who chose to serve this country in that particular way.
In this ceremony attended: Deputy Defence Minister, Mr. Petro Koçi, CHoD, Major General Jeronim Bazo, Commanders of Albanian Forces and the Mayor of Vlora Municipality, Mr. Dritan Leli.
In this ceremony were certified 342 recruit/seaman recruit, from whom 321 recruit/seaman recruit, 21 private 1/seaman apprentice, and 23 were women. All recruits finished their 10 week Basic Individual Exercise and are ranked as privite 1, while those with high education as private 2. At the end of ceremony were given certificates to outstanding recruits.
