The Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces continue the opening of mobilization offices throughout the country.

The Defence Minister, Mrs Mimi Kodheli, accompanied by Commander of the Support Command Colonel Ardian Bali and General Secretary of the Prefecture of Kukës County, Mr Abdulla Domi attended the opening of the office in Kukës.

The attendees inspected the new premises of this office, which according to Minister Kodheli will serve to better assist the residents of this area, who often face emergencies. "It is one of the centers where the citizen is assisted more than in any other one because the weather often makes unpleasant surprises by sending snow, harsh cold or blocking roads, and even because this is a very important center of the Armed Forces’ activity, especially now that we opened the mobilization office, which will serve for a more accurate database of all former military personnel, reservists or retired who have the ability to respond to ever-increasing demands of citizens for emergencies and the need for assistance", said Minister Kodheli.

On his behalf, the General Secretary of the Prefecture listed the contributions of the Armed Forces in recent years in helping the community of this area in keeping the lake clean from garbage pollution and opening the roads from the snow.

The new Office for the Mobilization of Reservists opens in the premises of the Detachment of the Regional Defence in Kukës, which is expected to bring better cooperation with this structure of the Armed Forces, whose main purpose is to assist the citizens and local government in cases of natural disasters and civil emergencies.
