Distinguished Visitors Day of “LogEx-17” Exercise

In the framework of "LogEx - 17" Exercise, the Distinguished Visitors Day was held today in the premises of the Ministry of Defense. Defense Deputy Minister Petro Koçi, ambassadors, generals, and directors of the MoD and GS participated in this activity.

The opening speech was delivered by J4 Director, Colonel Dritan Stroni, who thanked and praised the work done to achieve this multinational exercise. He greeted all the participants and appreciated their work as qualitative and efficient. Even the director of the EUCOM J4, Admiral Paul Verrastro expressed his appreciation by focusing on the significant enhancement of skills that this exercise would bring to all participating countries.

During his speech, the Defense Deputy Minister expressed the appreciation perceived by the Ministry of Defense and the Albanian Armed Forces on the occasion of organizing and conducting this exercise, which is a contribution to peace, security and prosperity in the region and beyond.

Further, Deputy Minister Koçi added: "The exercise serves as another positive step for enhancing cooperation, continuing dialogue, building up trust among the countries of our region, and strengthening the liaisons between NATO and the Partnership for Peace."

In his speech, the Deputy Minister gave special importance to the allies, who supported this exercise toward its progress and success so far, ending his speech with gratitude to the participants and expressed his satisfaction for the results that this exercise has brought.

"LogEx 17" Exercise is based on NATO's doctrine in applying common logistical support, with the view to supporting troops in multinational operations for maintaining peace and global security stability.

This exercise will last until 19 May, and are included 135 participating troops from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Finland, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Sweden, observers from Poland and Slovenia, as well as instructors from USA, Great Britain, Austria and France.
