Minister Kodheli at NATO Summit in Brussels

The Albanian delegation headed by the Prime Minister, Edi Rama, having in its composition also the Minister of Defense, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati, attended the Summit of NATO member countries, which was held in Brussels.

During the proceedings of this summit, which took place at NATO's new Headquarters, the leaders of the Alliance made important decisions on the fight against terrorism, and a fairer division of responsibilities among member states.

At the summit, NATO decided to become part of the international coalition against ISIS, where Albania has participated since its creation.

During the proceedings of this summit, Prime Minister Rama had a meeting with his Greek counterpart Alexis Tsipras. Both prime ministers underlined the nature and strategic importance of Albanian - Greek relations, and the role of friendship between the two countries as a bridge of peace and stability in the region's Euro-Atlantic integration.

Likewise, Prime Minister Rama, and minister Bushati and Kodheli had informal meetings with their counterparts, with whom they discussed issues of mutual importance and increase of bilateral cooperation.
