Minister Kodheli promotes Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku

In the premises of the General Staff of the Armed Forces was held the promotion ceremony of Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku, to whom was conferred the high rank by the Decree of the President of the Republic, upon the proposal of the Minister of Defense.

At this ceremony were present the Defense Minister Mimi Kodheli, Deputy Defense Minister Mr. Petro Koci, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Dedë Prenga, Commanders of Force, as well as senior military and other guests.

The Defense Minister Mimi Kodheli expressed the pleasure of promoting the Brigadier General Kollçaku and praised his contribution during the 35 years of his career in the Armed Forces. "It is my pleasure that during these four years to the necklet of generals is added another one; a dedicated militaryman, who during 35 years of his career knew how to serve the country in the service of the Constitution, to serve the people in the service of Morality, and of course to fulfill all the duties that have been charged."

Further, Minister Kodheli congratulated Brigadier General Kollçaku on his promotion and expressed confidence in his dedication and and that of all the AAF leadership to a greater engagement in the future. "In these hard times that we are living, regarding not only the threatens that comes from South and the East of NATO’s borders, but also to the hot weather that the nature is reserving us with very hot days and high temperatures, make us not only to reflect, but prepare better, increase readiness, train harder, longer, achieve results, or continue on the path to the excellent results that the AF have and I'm sure they will continue to have. "

In his speech, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku thanked Minister Kodheli for the evaluation as well as colleagues, subordinates, superiors with whom he has worked over the years, engaging in honoring with maximum dedication, led by the trinomial: Duty - Honor - Country.

Brigadier General, Bardhyl Kollçaku has a long career of more than 35 years in the Armed Forces, where he served as Director of the Defense Planning and Monitoring Directorate at the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Director of the Strategic Policy Department in the Ministry of Defense, Director of PfP Integration in SHAPE, NATO, Chief of Cabinet at the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Commander of the Second Infantry Battalion in the Rapid Reaction Brigade, and other duties in the Armed Forces structures.

Currently Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku serves as the director of "Defence Intelligence and Security Agency" in the Ministry of Defense.
