Armed Forces assist with firefighting operations in Lekas and Orosh

As they observe the situation throughout the country, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania uninterruptedly continue their engagement in the extinction of fires in all regions of the country.

In the last 24 hours, at the request of the Civil Emergency Directorate, about 80 serviceman  (Support Command and Land Force), 6 transport vehicles and 4 firefighters were engaged to extinguish fires in several districts.

The Armed Forces remain engaged in the Administrative Unit Lekas (Voskopoja), Korça County, with about 50 Support Commanders, 3 vehicles and 4 firefighters.

There were also 30 members from the Land Force (Zall-Herr) and 3 transport vehicles engaged in Orosh village, Mirditë District.

Currently, around the country, there are 5 fireplaces, and although the fire situation is under control, and the cooperation with the Civil Emergencies continues.

The Armed Forces will remain alert and ready to intervene where necessary.
