A few miles from the town of Librazhd, more than 700 residents of the Spatharë village were again making preparations for the isolation caused by the cold winter. However the 30-meter long bridge constructed these days by the Armed Forces has solved one of the main problems of the village. Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka during the meeting with village residents stated that it is time for every municipality to do a detailed and complete inspection of all the remote areas where the winter months are really tough.

“Our guys of the Second Engineering Battalion are everywhere. I receive daily thank-you messages from residents, from all areas of Albania, where the Armed Forces have contributed to the bridges construction or to the roads expansion and arrangements, areas where there were no maintaining ever, or where local governments have failed. The collaboration with local government is an important element of the contribution that the Armed Forces can provide to the community. Therefore, it is necessary for local structures to make a detailed inspection of all areas that are mostly isolated during the winter months dealing with the problems that may arise. This inspection will help us coordinate the actions to support in due time all residents, mainly in the most remote areas, where our intervention is needed, even more nowadays where the administration of Civil Emergencies are under the authority of the Armed Forces", said Minister during the finished bridge inspection.

The Chairman of the Socialist Party's Parliamentary Group, at the same time Deputy in the Region of Elbasan, Taulant Balla, praised the reform undertaken by the Defense Minister regarding the Civil Emergencies or State Reserves.

"All of our government colleagues are in the terrain, because as we made a promise before you on June 25 that co-governance with the people is not just a slogan, but it's a work in progress, and the construction of this bridge by armed forces shows that they are changing day by day their function in serving the primary needs of the people. I would like to congratulate Olta for a reform that was an indispensable necessity and is now concretizing. The transfer of Civil Emergencies and of the State Reserve under the authority of Ministry of Defense is one of the most important reforms which will give to the AF the opportunity to assist immediately in helping all families of the villages of Librazhd, in the northeastern villages of Albania in the cold winter and snowy days ", said Balla.

During the visit to the Elbasan District, the Defense Minister accompanied by Deputy Anastas Angjeli has also stopped in the city of Gramsh, where the Armed Forces launched the recruitment campaign.
"Naturally, you can ask why we should choose today to undertake this mission, become part of the Armed Forces. Because, I say it with conviction, this mission is, among other things, a profession. Being part of the AAF means gaining a profession, not just an ordinary profession. It is a profession of sacrifice, it also represents restrictions, but rarely, it is a profession that increases your feeling of self-worth. Today, I admit in front of you, this appeal, can guarantee you that the career in the AF gives you not only a future, but also gives you more opportunities. It gives you opportunities to study abroad supported by the state and international partners, the opportunity to provide services to you and your families in health, free education, career development at the highest levels of military rank, to be the most privileged citizens in society throughout but also after the career in the AF" - said the Defense Minister during the meeting with the young people of Gramsh.

After Gramsh, where dozens of young people expressed interest and signed up for the newly launched campaign, "Be part of the Armed Forces", will also continue in Tirana, Shkodra and Berat where the demands for new components are high.
