Prime Minister Rama in a live connection with Afghanistan, that Minister Xhaçka is actually visiting: What you are doing is priceless

Our Armed Forces continue their contribution to the NATO Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan. Their commitment was also confirmed by the conversation that Prime Minister Edi Rama had with representatives of the Albanian contingents in Afghanistan, where Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka is undertaking a visit.

Minister Xhacka informed Prime Minister Rama about the maximal appreciation of Albanian troops by senior commanders of the Resolute Support Mission, and stressed the important role of our military members there. "We have received the highest regard for the devotion and professionalism of our military members, and I have been very proud of them in all the conversations, and all the commands where they are doing extraordinary work. Our troops do not serve only Afghanistan, the entire peace development process here, but also serve stability and security plan for the entire Euro-Atlantic area, and in this sense, their contribution is far greater than in Afghanistan alone. For this, I expressed to them my personal gratitude, but also yours, for the unsparing support you are giving."

Prime Minister Rama expressed to Albanian troops not only his personal thanks and gratitude, but also the highest regard from senior NATO representatives. He also promised to further support the Armed Forces, who he considered national pride. "In every meeting, in every communication, with different representatives of the Alliance, I hear with pride the best words and the most dignified description for all your presence and activity there. We are very grateful and very proud of you! The truth is that I should thank you, and not you thanking me, but we try to do our best. Of course, we would like to do more and more, step by step because the opportunities, thanks to common reforms and efforts, increase, they do not diminuish. The fact is that what you do, as people say, is priceless to the dignity of our country and honour of our flag. So please, do not thank me, we are the ones who need to thank you, and we can never say 'thank you' enough to all of you, but also to your families and your children, living separate from you, because you are in such a high office serving our common homeland.
Even though we cannot do for you as much as you would like us to, as much as you deserve, being unable to thank you as much as you deserve, we will manage to take further steps for all of you and our AAF, who are really a great pride for Albania in every panel with our partners that we partake"

The Albanian military members contributing to the NATO Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan informed Prime Minister Rama about the successful fulfillment of the duties assigned, but also the high morale that prevails among soldiers.

Also, they thanked Prime Minister Rama and the Albanian Government for the attention and support given to the Armed Forces, and expressed the confidence that this support will continue to increase.

Currently, the Albanian contingents in the Resolute Support Mission comprise 83 soldiers serving in Kabul and Herat.
