Message of the President of the Republic, Mr. Ilir Meta on the occasion of the105th Anniversary of the constitution of AAF!

The President of the Republic, as well as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Ilir Meta, has conveyed a special message on the 105th anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania, as follows:

"Honorable officers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania, 105 years ago, just days after the proclamation of the Independence of the Albanian State, our Armed Forces established.

On the occasion of this important anniversary, as President of the Republic of Albania and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, I have the special honor to convey to you all the feelings of my highest consideration for your devotion and sacrifice in the service of our homeland and our national interests.

A special gratitude goes to all our servicemen for their sacrifices and the strength to withstand the distance and absence of their sons, their parents and their spouses.
In this historic anniversary, we remember with the highest respect all those who contributed to the creation and strengthening of the Albanian Army starting form Mehmet Pash Derralla up to the present day..
In particular, we bow with profound gratitude to the Heroes and Martyrs of the Homeland, who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our country. The 105th anniversary of the establishment of our Armed Forces finds us today as NATO members.

Therefore, a special thanks and gratitude go to all Albanian militants who currently contribute alongside the Alliance's military forces in Afghanistan, the Aegean Sea, Latvia, Mali, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and anywhere in international missions.

At these moments, special gratitude goes to the personnel of the Armed Forces who are working with dedication to face the difficult flood situation in the country. The engagement of the Armed Forces and their co-ordination with other institutions and local authorities is a guarantee in preserving the lives of citizens and minimizing the damages of private and public property.

The 105th anniversary of the creation of the Albanian Armed Forces gives me the opportunity to once again confirm the unwavering support for their development and modernization. This historic moment also urges me to encourage the Albanian Parliament, the Government and all the other actors in the country to carefully evaluate and treat the Albanian military.

Happy 105th anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania! Everlasting glory to all who gave their life in the name of the Fatherland! God bless Albanian servicemen wherever they serve in favor of democracy, peace, security, and freedom”.
