Completed the 9th Senior Security and Defense Course

In the premises of the auditorium at the Ministry of Defense, took place the Graduation Ceremony of the students of the Senior Security and Defense Course (SSDC). Attending the ceremony were the Defense Deputy Minister Petro Koçi, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku, Force Commanders, and Military Attaches accredited in our country, Directors of the Ministry of Defense and General Staff of the Armed Forces.

The Defense Deputy Minister Petro Koçi, on behalf of the Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka, thanked the participants in this course. "It's a great pleasure to be here with you on the occasion of the Graduation Ceremony of 9th Senior Security and Defense Course. Therefore, on behalf of the Minister of Defense, Olta Xhaçka, and personally, let me express to all the graduate students the highest appreciation for your successful achievements', - said Koçi. Speaking for course values, Koçi emphasized that this course serves as an opportunity for building a close friendship network and as a powerful tool to promote the values and principles of trust. "This high-level course also provides the opportunity of creating a close friendly network that serves as a powerful tool to promote the values and principles of trust, co-operation and joint efforts of the region on the path to NATO and EU integration." - said Koçi.

At the end of his speech, Defense Deputy Minister Koçi appreciated the importance of this course and said that: "I hope this course has been useful to you, and what you have benefited from it, will help you in your career and beyond”.

The Senior Security and Defense Course (SSDC) is the highest course in the military education pyramid of the Albanian Armed Forces. The course is held in English with the participation of military officers with the rank of Colonel, from the Albanian Armed Forces and those of the countries of the region, as well as participants from the security and defense institutions in the Republic of Albania.

The 9th SSDC began on September 11, 2017 and was attended by 15 students, military personnel and civilians from countries in the region and beyond, from Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Romania, Turkey and for the first time from the United Kingdom.
