Albania - 17 Years in NATO

The Republic of Albania marked the 17th Anniversary of its Accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
At a formal ceremony held at the Zall Herr Garrison, the Defense Minister, Mr. Ermal Nufi, assessed the progress achieved over the past 17 years, emphasizing that Albania has earned the trust of its allies and established a credible and stable profile within the Alliance.
Minister Nufi highlighted the professionalism and dedication of Albanian servicemen and servicewomen, noting their honorable representation of the nation in international missions. He stated that Albania remains a contributing factor to regional stability, standing firmly alongside its allies and operating in full alignment with NATO standards and tempo.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Arben Kingji, underscored the historic significance of NATO membership and Albania’s active role in joint operations. He reaffirmed the country’s sustained commitment to the principles, values, and obligations of the Alliance.
