Weather in Albania, Ministry of Defense: The situation is under control

 

The whole country was covered by a significant drop in temperatures, accompanied by snow and rain. Based on the forecasts of the Meteorological Service, all Civil Emergency structures in all regions of the country, coordinated by the National Agency for Civil Protection (AKMC) have been engaged from the first moment.

According to the information received from the prefectures, municipalities, and the Albanian Road Authority (ARA), today the rains have stopped and the situation is under control.
Arbri road, Dibër district is currently open to cars using chains. The road Peshkopi - Lure is blocked, but the movements on the axis Lure - Rrëshen and Xibër - Klos are open to cars with chains.
ARA employees are on terrain from yesterday on various axes of the country, wherein in some areas the traffic continues normally, but with the use of chains.

OSHEE groups are operating to return energy in the units of Kala e Dodës, Reç, Lurë, Selishtë of Dibër municipality as well as in feeder 6, Lunik administrative unit, Librazhd municipality.
Meteorologists predict a further drop in temperatures below zero, so the Ministry of Defense calls on all citizens, especially those in remote mountainous areas to be careful, follow the advice made public by AKMC and notify local authorities if necessary. All its structures are committed at all times to be close to the citizens in these days with extreme temperatures.
