US Security Force Assistance Brigade Activated in Albania, Peleshi: We strengthen our presence in NATO missions

The United States Security Forces Assistance Brigade (SFAB) is activated in Albania, a team that will support and advise the Second Infantry Battalion of the Land Force.
At the ceremony organized on this occasion, in the presence of Defense Minister Niko Peleshi and US Ambassador to Albania Yuri Kim was stressed the importance of interactivity among NATO allies on a new ground for world security.

Defence Minister Niko Peleshi attends NATO Summit in Madrid

Defence Minister Niko Peleshi participated in the NATO Summit that took place these two days in Madrid, Spain, as part of the Albanian delegation headed by Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The 3-day Summit was considered a historical moment, for the important decisions taken including the orientation of Defense while the security situation is very delicate, in a moment that Russia and China continue to challenge.

Modernization of Fire Service for 10 municipalities, Peleshi: First response capacities increase

Ten municipalities which are traversed by the TAP pipeline will have increased capacities to withstand fires. The Trans-Adriatic Pipeline donated 16 new firefighting vehicles to these municipalities and trained Fire and Rescue personnel.
The activity was attended by the Defence Minister Niko Peleshi, the Deputy Minister Dallëndyshe Bici, representatives of the diplomatic corps, TAP and the mayors of the beneficiary municipalities.

The Defence Minister Niko Peleshi awarded the “Medal of Gratitude” to Lieutenant Colonel Erol Munir, in a special ceremony, at the end of his term.
Lt. Col. Munir served in Tirana as Chief of the Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC).

From July 1, salary increase by 30%, Peleshi: Dignifying treatment promise kept

Starting from July 1, all military personnel of the Armed Forces will receive a 30% salary increase. The news was announced at a press conference by Defence Minister Niko Peleshi, after the meeting of the Council of Ministers.
“Today we have made an historical salary increase and I am very proud of it. I am also very grateful that the promise of the Prime Minister has been implemented. All military personnel from the lowest to the highest ranks from July 1, based on the decision of the Council of Ministers, will have a 30% higher salary, which means the minimum wage in the Armed Forces is more than 51000 ALL, added an additional payment of food treatment and other treatments according to difficulties.”, - explained Minister Peleshi.
