Join AAF as an active soldier/seaman

AAF requires the recruited personnel to have the highest qualities for serving in the Armed Forces. AAF will recruit professional soldiers with necessary knowledge in accordance with work requirements, specific specialities, by improving the procedures and policies of admission, giving priority to individuals with high education, unique abilities and qualities for specific specialities.

The recruitment to become a professional soldier in the AF, will offer equal chances, with no racial, ethnicity, colour, gender, religion belief discrimination, as well as payment, profits, and other compensations according to specific military services.
Professional soldier recruitment will be carried out in a concentrated way to complete the AF structures.

Acceptance Criteria for the recruitment of active recruit/seaman:

For the recruitment of Albanian citizens in AAF as recruit/ seaman are set the following criteria:
 -  To be an Albanian citizen
 -  To have a moral integrity
 -  No conviction of criminal offenses
 -  Not in prosecution process
 -  To have not lost the right to practice the profession in public administration by the court.
 -  Not to be in criminal court trial
 -  The minimal recruitment age is 18. At the time, they are entitled as active recruit / seaman they should not have reached the age of 27. Exception of this will be only the citizens who are to be entitled active recruit / seaman of the medical personnel of the AAF, and they should not be more than 32.
 -  To have the high school or university accomplished at home or abroad.
 -  Have a medical examination report and to have been declared as capable of being an active recruit / seaman by the Military Hospital of The Armed Forces in Support Command.
 -  To have passed the physical, intellectual and psychological test.
 -  Starting from 2015, the candidates should be of a height above 170 cm for men, and above 165 cm for women.
 -  The candidates for active soldiers, who will be part of the Military Police, should have a body length above 170 cm for both men and women.

b) Starting from 2015, for the recruitment of different specialties, besides these criteria should apply specific criteria for professional skills and physical parameters, which are determined by a special directive of the CHoD

The necessary documentation for the candidates’ registration:

 -  A written request where is stated the applicant’s identity, status (married, single), the reasons why he/she wants to become an active soldier/sailor, the unit and the specialty where they would like to serve; skills, job experience; his skills in certain areas, according to the model attached to this Instruction (Application Form).
 -  ID card photocopy
 -  Family member certificate
 -  2 pictures 4x6 cm, and 2 pictures 9x12 cm
 -  A photocopy of high school diploma or university notarized and approved by the regional Education Directorate.
 -  Notarized diploma or certificate of vocational skills (if any)
 -  Police record report
 -  Report from the prosecution
 -  Report from the court
 - Medical report from the Military Hospital of the Albanian Armed Forces iat Support Command.
