AAF isolate the hearth of fire in Shëngjin

The Armed Forces (AAF) in cooperation with other institutional structures such as the Firefighters of Lezha Municipality and Shëngjin Port, the Police and residents' aid, isolated the fire hearth on the green crown of the tourist town.

After two days of hard work, 9 fire trucks and about 200 forces from these structures made it possible to eliminate the danger to the residential center and currently no habitations are threatened by the flames.

Extremely rugged terrain made it impossible for fire trucks to intervene, while high temperatures made it difficult for troops to intervene on the ground.

The situation at the Shengjin hearth of fire was also improved significantly due to yesterday's rainfalls, while all structures involved remain on the ground until the flames will be completely extinguished.

The General Directorate of Civil Emergencies informs that during this month up to now, have been registered nationwide 102 hearth of fire employing over 110 vehicles, and about 1,000 forces, including Firefighters, Armed Forces, municipal employees, but also volunteers.
