Amarildo Kupi

Amarildo Kupi has served as Adviser to the Minister of Defence for Foreign and Inter-Institutional Relations since May 2026.

In this role, he advises and supports the Minister of Defence in coordinating institutional relations with national and international partners. He also contributes to inter-institutional cooperation in the field of diplomacy and national security. His responsibilities include coordinating with international organisations and partners in support of the Ministry of Defence’s strategic priorities and the Republic of Albania’s European Union integration process.

Prior to his current appointment, Mr Kupi served as Adviser to the Minister of Justice, with responsibility for inter-institutional relations and coordination with international partners. In this capacity, he contributed to matters related to Albania’s integration into the European Union.

Mr Kupi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom. He also holds a Master of Science in European and International Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

His academic background is focused on international relations, diplomacy, and European and international affairs, with particular emphasis on relations between states and the international dimension of security policy.

Mr Kupi also holds a professional qualification in “Combating Irregular Migration” from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

He is fluent in English.
