Directorate of Public Relations and Information
DPRI’s fundamental task is to realize in time and with transparency the information of the general public about the activities of the Armed Forces and Ministry of Defence, through media and Internet products, in order to improve the image of the Armed Forces and promotion of their contribution for the country’s and community’s benefit.
DPRI mission and tasks performed by its organizational structure are:

Sector of Information, Public Affairs & Media, is responsible for preparing and tracking information for all activities of MoD, Armed Forces and related structures, as well as taking measures to inform the public through electronic media, written and official website of the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces, in real time.
Written and audiovisual materials, press conferences in MoD, GS are prepared by this sector, published on the official MoD or Armed Forces official site, and are conveyed to the mass media. It creates interaction bridges to have maximum cooperation with the media.
Refines the strategic directions of public relations, communication and information that must follow the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces, based at the NATO doctrines, tailoring them according AAF needs.
Monitors all electronic and printed media which treats themes on the activities of the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces.
Web, Online Media & Social Media Sector enables continuous operation and updating of the information of the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces website, in Albanian and English. This sector is responsible for maintenance, administration and coordination of the two main websites.
Coverage of activities, ceremonies, official meetings, trainings, speeches, conferences, etc, which are held by the Ministry of Defence, General Staff, subordinate Commands on the Web and Social Media (Facebook, Youtube), accomplished through the publication of papers, articles and the accompanying photos and video.
At the same time it carries out the translation from Albanian to English language of the informative materials, news and columns, which are published on the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces website.
The mission of this sector is reflected directly in raising awareness and bringing civil community to become familiar with the internal activities of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania. It also plays an important role publishing on time the activities which are carried out in the social media (Facebook, Youtube, Twitter).
Multimedia & Projects Sector is responsible for the creativity, design and technical realization of the high artistic level of all electronic media products, in order to improve the image of the Armed Forces and promoting their contribution to the benefit of the country and community. It realizes technically, artistically the production of the electronic media products. Plans and implements documentaries, newsreels, special and different TV spots with topics of interest to the image of the Armed Forces.
This media production is broadcasted in television stations, which is realized in close cooperation with them as well as with the MoD website. Film materials that are not available from our institution are simultaneously exchanged (borrowed), so as to produce media products with high quality level of artistry. It contributes on the achievement of the most important events of the Armed Forces.
From this sector every year are produced an average of 5-6 documentaries with themes on the operation of the Armed Forces.

Audiovisual Technical Support Sector with its own activity covers all the necessary support for the process of identification, closely tracking the main activities of the Armed Forces, preserving in photos and cinematographic passages, preserving and maintaining their materials in archives, management of materials in order that they might be used for the production of information chronicles, documentaries, TV spot and everything else that is helpful for the audiovisual production. In collaboration with the command units it contributes to the enrichment of the database providing technical assistance about the filming and photographing procedures in the field and for the maintenance of archives in these units. It also collaborates with military civil and media institutions, to create the possibility of spreading the image of the activity of FA in years through archive inventory. It creates the possibility of using the film and photography archive in digital format (DVD for film and CD for photos) both for the activities planned by detachments, military units, and for national and international institutions, organizations and civil society.
It also creates the possibility to all retired military personnel and those still in service, to civilians and institutions or organizations of national and international civil society who have recordings or photos to donate to the central archive of the AF. The material which is a result of a joint activity with the AF, is processed into suitable formats for archiving and a copy is provided to the donor. It welcomes photographic material and footage materials donated to the archives of the Armed Forces from representatives of AF, from NATO countries and partners.
In the archives of CCMDP there are audiovisual productions belonging to different periods which are stored and classified by their type of production:
- Photos (black and white) for all kinds of weapons, years 1957 to 1990 (17.000 pieces)
- Coloured photos for all weapons from 2000 - 2012
- Documentaries for the years 1992-2002, the quantity (43 VHS format) and (17 SVHS format)
- Documentaries years 2003-2010, the quantity 49
- Chronicle news and footage material for important events 1990-2011
