With the deployment of a platoon of 30 soldiers to the EUFOR Althea mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Armed Forces reach the quota of 500 soldiers permanently engaged in missions abroad.
With this contribution, Albania demonstrates that it is 100% aligned with the EU foreign and security policy.
The Albanian Armed Forces interact in stability and peacekeeping missions with allied forces and in all the missions in which they interact, they are recognized by the local populations as professionals and people with humanity who are able to create close relationships, in function of their mission, with the local population.
