Albania and Turkey sign Defense Cooperation Agreement

Albania and Turkey have signed an amendment to the “Financial Assistance Protocol,” with the agreement formalized by Albania’s Defence Minister Pirro Vengu, and Turkey’s Defence Minister Yaşar Güler.
The signing took place in Istanbul during IDEF 2025 (International Defence Industry Fair). The agreement will provide the Albanian Armed Forces with 105 mm artillery systems and broaden the scope of cooperation between the two countries. In addition to material support, it includes training, seminars, logistical aid, transportation, and institutional backing, further boosting the operational readiness and professional training of Albanian military personnel.
