Enhanced financial support for Civil Protection under the 2026 Budget

The 2026 Budget provides for an increase in funding for the Civil Protection System, in implementation of Law No. 87/2025:

•  1 billion ALL in conditional transfers:
    - 500 million ALL for investments;
    - 500 million for compensation of citizens affected by fires and floods;
• 1.5 billion ALL for projects related to the prevention of natural disasters;
• 300 million ALL for dam and reservoir projects.

The objective is to strengthen preventive measures to reduce future risks, enhance the safety of citizens and property, and ensure compensation following emergencies in support of communities.

The focus remains on strengthening Civil Protection System and enhancing inter-institutional coordination.
