Two cooperation agreements signed between Albanian and Hungarian defence institutions

An important part of the discussions in Budapest focused on cooperation in the fields of Defence and the Defence Industry.

In this context, the parties signed two agreements: one aimed at intensifying civil-level defence cooperation, and another between the institutions responsible for Defence Innovation, with the objective of securing greater access to European programme funding.

The Cooperation Agreement between the Hungarian Defence Research and Innovation Institute (DRII) and the Security and Defence Innovation Centre (SDIC) marks an important step toward strengthening the strategic partnership in the field of Security and Defence. The agreement provides for collaboration in research and development (R&D), the exchange of expertise, capacity-building through dedicated training programmes, as well as the sharing of experience and best practices to enhance the effectiveness of testing centres and innovation acceleration programmes.

This partnership opens a new chapter of cooperation aimed at strengthening the innovation ecosystem in the field of Security and Defence at the international level.
