Fire situation in Albania

21 fires have been registered in the last 24 hours, in the territory of the country, of which 18 have been extinguished thanks to the continuous efforts of hundreds of operational forces, who are working on the ground in these high temperatures. According to data from the National Operational Center of Civil Emergencies, 3 fires are still active.

Fire situation in the Albania

In the past 24 hours, 11 fire foci were recorded across the country, of which seven have been extinguished while four remain active.
According to data from the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies, efforts are ongoing to extinguish the fire in the village of Kakodhiq in the Delvina municipality. This fire, fueled by high temperatures and wind, has spread towards the villages of Derviçan and Goranxi in Lower Dropull. In response, 25 military personnel from the Armed Forces have joined the local government operational structures in fighting the blaze.

Defence MInister Niko Peleshi underscored this today, sharing the testimony of Colonel Dritan Durmishaj, a representative of the many soldiers who make daily sacrifices in service to our country and its citizens.
