Peleshi to NATO counterparts: Greater attention needs to be paid to Kosovo

On the second day of the meeting of the Ministers of the countries part of the Alliance, they also discussed the NATO-EU cooperation. The Armed Forces Academy (AFA) is organizing the Senior Course on Security and Defense Studies (SCSDS) 2021, with participants from other countries.
The purpose of SCSDS is to train military officers (OF5) and civilian officials from Albania, NATO, and partner countries at the strategic level.
The course is attended by students from Albania, Germany, Greece, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Italy, and Georgia.

The defense of NATO countries and the fight against terrorism in Afghanistan and Iraq were the main topics of the first day of the meeting of the Defence Ministers of the Alliance that is taking place in Brussels, which is also attended by Defence Minister Niko Peleshi.
The Ministers discussed the strengthening and modernization of the NATO Force Structure, in order to prepare the decisions that the NATO leaders will take at the Madrid Summit on June 29-30, 2022.

Defence Minister Niko Peleshi accompanied by the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Assoc. Prof. Bajram Begaj, hosted in a meeting the Commander of the NATO Joint Air Operations Center, Lieutenant General Fernando De La Cruz Caravaca, who is paying an official visit to Albania.
Minister Peleshi thanked General Caravaca for the work he and his staff are doing for the NATO airspace surveillance and policing, and in particular, thanked our neighbors, Italy and Greece, for their contribution to our country's airspace policing.
Armed Forces effective participate in the "Tirana Marathon – 2021”

A team out of more than 100 effective from Albanian Armed Forces were part of the "Tirana Marathon - 2021", activity organized by the Municipality of Tirana.
The participants in this marathon competed in all disciplines (10 km, 21 km and 42 km), distinguishing themselves for the spirit of the race and high discipline.
