Maneuvers and shooting drills at sea, exercise “ Grupex - 21” lasted two days

Naval Force effective conducted for two days “Grupex - 21” exercise. 8 ships were part of the exercise. The aim of “Grupex - 21” is the certification of the patrol group capacities.
During this exercise, elements of tactical maneuvering, naval embargo operations, search-and-rescue operations, and elements of offshore supply exercise were elaborated.
In these two days, coastal shootings were combined with the exercise "Grupex - 21" as part of a scenario prepared by the Naval Force Staff in accordance with the purpose of maritime security operations in the Adriatic and Ionian Seas.

The first woman promoted to “Major General”, minister Peleshi appraises the Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Manushaqe Shehu

The Preferment Ceremony of the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces took place today at the Ministry of Defense.
She became the first military woman to get promoted to Major General in the Albanian Armed Forces.
During the ceremony, Defence Minister Niko Peleshi evaluated the contribution of Major General Manushaqe Shehu, emphasizing that this is an appreciation for her career achievements. Minister Peleshi noted the important tasks she has accomplished, including those of special importance.

Minister Peleshi gives the "Medal of Gratitude" to the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee at the end of his term

The contribution of the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach for strengthening the relations of the Albanian Armed Forces with other allied armies, led Defence Minister Niko Peleshi to award him the "Medal of Gratitude".

Minister Peleshi in Latvia: We will continue to contribute to NATO mission in Northern Europe

After the official visit to Estonia, Defence Minister Niko Peleshi, at the invitation of his counterpart, Mr. Artis Pabriks, continued his visit to Latvia.

The two delegations held a meeting, in which they had the opportunity to share thoughts and ideas to further develop and intensify cooperation in the Field of Defence, while military education and strategic communication were given special attention.

Mr. Peleshi expressed his gratitude for the ongoing support that Latvia has given to Albania not only during the NATO membership process but also in the efforts that our country is making regarding the negotiations with the European Union.
