Today, a ceremony was held in the "General Enrico Tellini" auditorium at the Ministry of Defense to certify the participants of the 14th Senior Course on Security and Defense.

Attendees included the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Arben Kingji; the General Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Mrs. Gelardina Prodani; the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Manushaqe Shehu; ambassadors and resident military attachés; members of the National Security Commission; commanders of main forces and autonomous units; family members; and high-ranking representatives from the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

Today, the Council of Ministers gave the green light to a draft decision aimed at proposing the "For the financing of the arrears of payment of employees and former employees of the Mechanical Combine in Poliçan. The precarious financial situation faced by military enterprises, especially the Mechanical Combine in Poliçan, compelled the government to take action to resolve longstanding issues for its workforce.

Military Strategy and Long-Term Development Plan, Minister Peleshi discusses with generals in active duty and reservists

Upon finalizing the National Security Strategy Document, the Ministry of Defence has forwarded the Military Strategy and Long-Term Development Plan for consultation. Defence Minister Niko Peleshi, alongside Major General Arben Kingji, Chief of the General Staff of the AF, and a cohort of active-duty and reserve generals, as well as Ministry of Defence directors and force commanders, convened for an extensive roundtable discussion. A special ceremony in Brussels commemorated the 15th Anniversary of Albania and Croatia's NATO membership, with Defense Minister Niko Peleshi in attendance. In his address, Minister Peleshi emphasized that NATO remains a beacon for democracy, individual freedom, and the rule of law, just as it did 75 years ago.
In his speech, the Minister of Defense emphasized our country's clear support for the alliance, highlighting Albania's efforts over the years to become a valued member among its allies in NATO. He noted that Albania now plays a highly regarded role within the Alliance.
