Minister Peleshi stated in Parliament: Military personnel’s salary will be increased again within 2023

Defence Minister Niko Peleshi, stated that it is expected another increase of military personnel’s salary next year. He announced that during his speech at the Plenary Session of the Parliament, where the Project Budget of 2023 is being discussed.
"I have great news for the people I represent, about 7,000 in the military, who are going to get another salary increase through this budget. From July they will receive a 30% higher salary, and in January another 7% will be added on top of the 30%. So it's a 40% increase in salary...

Defence Minister Niko Peleshi and Mrs. Elizabeth L. Dibble, the highest representative of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) signed today the agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Multinational Observer Force (MOF) on the participation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania in the mission of MOF in Sinai, Arab Republic of Egypt.

The new academic year started today for the students and trainees of the Armed Forces Academy. In the ceremony held on this occasion, the Defence Minister Niko Peleshi described the Albanian Armed Forces Academy as one of the priority projects of the Ministry of Defense that is advancing in cooperation with the strategic partner, the USA. Minister Peleshi congratulated the students and the teaching staff while also announcing the new investment being made in support of the AF Academy.

Young ladies and women in the Armed Forces of Albania joined the awareness campaign for the fight against breast cancer.
In a video message for all women, published by the Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the FA, Major General Manushaqe Shehu as well as the girls and women in uniform call on all Albanian women to carry out health checks to avoid a risk that may threaten them tomorrow.

The defense ministers appreciated the importance of the "Adrion Initiative (Adriatic - Ionian Initiative), as a successful example of regional cooperation, based on inclusiveness, common values and the orientation of common interests to guarantee security and stability in the Adriatic - Ionian area. Special attention was paid to the importance of interaction and cooperation between the naval forces of this initiative, with the aim of increasing maritime security, humanitarian assistance, search and rescue, capacity building as well as supporting NATO and EU operations in the Adrion area.
