Defense Minister Pirro Vengu welcomed U.S. Chargé d'Affaires in Tirana, Nancy VanHorn, in a courtesy meeting, where he extended a warm welcome to her upon her arrival in Albania.
Highlighting the strong strategic ties between Albania and the United States and the vital role the U.S. plays in Albania’s ongoing transformation, Minister Vengu reaffirmed his commitment to deepening cooperation in the areas of Security and Defense.

Naval Forces personnel from the Albanian Armed Forces have been actively supporting local authorities in beach cleanup efforts throughout this summer season.

Defense Minister Pirro Vengu, along with the mayors of Finiq and Delvinë and Vlora County Prefect Kristo Kiço, was on-site to oversee the situation.
