Draft law on “Civil Protection” submitted to Parliamentary Commissions

Defence Deputy Minister Petro Koçi, introduced to the National Security Parliamentary Commission and to the Legal Affairs, Public Administration and Human Rights Parliamentary Commission the bill on "Civil Protection”. It will be the new regulator to prevent and cope with civil emergencies in our country.

“Oriku” sets off for the NATO Mission in the Aegean Sea

ALS “Oriku” and its crew members, part of the Albanian Naval Fleet, went on a NATO mission in the Aegean Sea.
21 crew members of the XII Albanian Contingent, part of the “Sea Guardian” mission, set off from Pashaliman Naval Base.
They were seen off by the Naval Force leaders, their family members and colleagues.

Presentation of draft law on “Civil Protection”, Xhaçka: New regulator to prevent and tackle the emergencies

The Institutions will be better prepared to prevent and cope with natural disasters.
The draft law on "Civil Protection", which is expected to be adopted soon by the Assembly, reforms fully the legal, structural and organizational basis for civil defence.
The presentation of the draft law went on in the premises of the Ministry of Defence. Prime Minister Edi Rama, Minister of Defence Olta Xhaçka, Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku, Deputy Minister Petro Koçi, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku, commanders of the forces, county prefects, representatives of the municipalities as well as Armed Forces officers, who are engaged in civil emergency cases, attended the presentation.

Completed the erection of “Bailey” bridge in Këlcyrë

The Engineering Battalion of the Support Command completed the erection of a "Bailey" bridge in the village of Mbrezhdan in the Municipality of Këlcyra.
The newly built bridge has a length of 42 meters and will facilitate significantly the movement of about 600 residents of 4 villages in the Malëshovë Region.
The bridge, with a load capacity of 30 tons, was constructed in cooperation with the municipality of Këlcyra, which has previously built the bridge abutments.

Colonel Altin Kurti the new Commander of the Military Police

Today, in the Military Police premises, took place the change of command ceremony of this important unit of the Armed Forces. The ceremony held on this occasion, was attended by Chief of General Staff Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku, senior military officers of the Armed Forces as well as Military Police officers.
The ceremony began by reading the Order of the Minister of Defence on the appointment of Colonel Altin Kurti as incoming Commander of the Military Police, while Colonel Ekland Dauti is the outgoing one.
Colonel Ekland Dauti in his address thanked the participants for the cooperation and support received during these two years as commander in order to accomplish successfully the tasks and mission of the Military Police.
