Conclusion of the Armed Forces Soccer Championship

The Military Police team is champion of the Armed Forces.

For five consecutive days, in the sports complex of the Training and Doctrine Command, it was held the Armed Forces Soccer Championship, an event which was organized by the Ministry of Defence and General Staff of the Armed Forces.

According to the approved schedule, there were held matches between the 8 participating teams of the main structures of the Armed Forces: the Land Force, Air Force, Naval Force, Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Logistics Brigade, Regional Support Brigade, Military Police and Support Regiment. The matches between these teams highlighted not only the spirit of competition, the high physical and technical-professional preparedness, but also the spirit of cooperation, respect and fair play between the players, military and civilian personnel of our Armed Forces.

In the final match, the two best teams faced each other, the TRADOC team and the Military Police team. After a strong and balanced match the regular time ended 0-0, and the penalty shot determined as winner the team of the Military Police. The match was led by three well-known referees, Mr. Lorenc Jemini, main referee, FIFA international referee, and two assistants Bledar Mesi and Renato Dorzi, referees of the Albanian Super League.

After the match, it was held the closing ceremony of the 2014 Armed Forces Soccer Championship. The 8 participating teams in the championship and the numerous participants, who attended this event, were greeted by the Director of Operations and Training in the General Staff, Colonel Idriz Haxhia. On this occasion, he handed the championship cup to the Military Police team. In the second place the TRADOC team and in the third place the Land Force team. The players of both teams of the final match were awarded with medals.
