Promotion of the book “The stars of the generals” of the military researchers Vangeli Kasapi

This morning, in the hall of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), it was promoted the latest book of prominent military researchers, Dr. Vangel Kasapi, “The stars of generals”, a publication of the Publishing House “Botart”. In this cultural event attended the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo, generals and other senior officers of the Ministry of Defence, General Staff, TRADOC, military historians and many other guests.

The promotion of the book was implemented as a discussion about values and messages conveyed through characters, generals and senior officers of the military leadership in more than a century of Albanian state, seeing and assessing them in the historical and political context of the time or period they have worked.

The main lecture was held by Prof. Assoc. Bernard Zotaj, director of the Book and Support with Information Centre of TRADOC, which was an extensive reflection of the historical and bibliographical values that this serious and voluminous book carries. Later, the director of the Publishing House “Botart”, former military journalist and publisher of the book, Ylli Molla, spoke about the cooperation with the author to publish this deed. While the journalist, Dr. Albert Hitoaliaj focused especially on the book values and journalism of Vangel Kasapi.

At the end of the event, Dr. Vangel Kasapi, the author of the book, expressed his thanks for the evaluation made to his work and publications in the field of military history, and especially to his recent book “The stars of the generals”, a fairly decent summary on the Albanian military leadership.

Albania’s history is a history of glorious struggle and resistance for freedom and independence; it is filled with glorious figures and military commanders, who have led with rare dignity many heroic battles. They have also established, strengthened and modernized not only the Albanian military thinking, but also our military structures. Without any doubt, a special place of honour and pride is also taken by the generals and prominent militaries, that the researcher Vangjel Kasapi has dredged, carefully selected and reflected with the dedication in this book. “The stars of the generals”, which is the 26th book in the series of his books, reflects with full freshness, professionalism and genuineness 73 figures of Albanian military leadership, from the day of the Declaration of Independence until today, who carry and convey the values of the Albanian Armed Forces’ history to today’s generations and those that will come.
