The children of the Recreational Centre celebrate World Animal Day

Based on the annual calendar of the social and cultural activities for 2013, the Centre of Culture, Media and Defence Publications (CCMDP), on the occasion of October 4, the “World Animal Day”, organized an activity on Saturday, October 5, in Peza, Tirana. A series of activities were organized according to the program prepared by the Department of Activities and Relations with Community, with the participation of the children of the Recreational Centre, CCMDP. At the event attended families of the Armed Forces personnel. This is a day to reflect on the relationship between man and his four-legged friends.

The activity was organized to increase the awareness of the public opinion on the importance of respecting all living creatures that interacts with us, and often are victims of people’ indifference.

During the day, the children and families had the opportunity to visit Peza. Initially, they visited the museum house of the “Peza Conference”. Then, the participants had the opportunity to enjoy the nature and have fun with animals of the area, and get on with the horses of the Peza’s equestrian field. Later, the activity was transferred to another outdoor area where the children sang songs to different animals, as well as recited poems dedicated to them, under the guidance of CCMDP specialists. It was also held the outdoor painting hour, in which the children drew different animals and landscapes.

This activity aimed to increase the awareness of the human being on the fact that he is not alone in this world, and he should to learn and respect the existence and presence of every living thing. It also aimed to increase the awareness on the importance of the animals and birds presence, on the measures to be taken to prevent the extinction caused directly, but also as a consequence of all human beings’ actions on nature.
