Land Force Training Center reconstructed, Xhaçka: An important step in increasing professionalism of AAF

Officers and NCOs will now be trained in more comfortable and convenient conditions in the newly constructed premises of the Training Center of this force. Besides the improved infrastructure, the Training Center has also undergone certain changes in structure and curricula, adopting the new NATO concepts.

At the completion of the center reconstruction, the Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka considered increasing the level and quality of Land Force personnel as important.

“I am really impressed with what I saw during this inspection, with the work done to give to this center decent spaces, as it pertains to a modern army. I am more optimistic than ever, that we have taken a very important step towards enhancing the professionalism and modernization of our entire Armed Forces. The corps of professional officers are the backbone of any modern force, they are the ones, who not only lead, but also convey to every effective, the knowledge gained from education and training in centers like this, that we are setting up today", - said Defense Minister.

Minister Xhaçka praised the participation of our troops in international missions and announced the approval of an additional government fund to support the AAF engagements in NATO missions.

“Our Army today is a force more capable than ever for serious missions, side by side with the most modern armies in the world, which is a fact that we have witnessed it in all missions and operations we have been to; from Kosovo and Bosnia to the Aegean Sea, to remote Afghanistan, Latvia, Mali etc. Whereas on Monday, the normative act for the 2019 budget adopted an additional fund of 300 million Lek which will be entirely dedicated to the support of the Armed Forces missions around the world.”

Training Center of LF is equipped with classrooms and cabinets that will serve to prepare officers and NCO personnel to further deepen their knowledge gained from the Armed Forces Academy and from the NCO Academy, including the cabinet for the personnel training, who will take part in missions of United Nations.

The completion of the reconstruction work in the Training Center also coincided with the completion of two courses that this center runs, the Advanced NCO Course and the Basic NCO Course, of the Infantry Branch.

The certificates for the most distinguished trainees were handed over by Minister Xhaçka and Brig. Gen. Kollçaku and Brig. Gen. Mullai.
