Albanian servicemen at SHAPE start raising funds for the earthquake victims

Albanian servicemen deployed in the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) along with their families have launched a 2-day fundraising campaign to help the families affected by the severe earthquake of November 26, 2019.
The solidarity campaign at SHAPE began on the 107th Anniversary of the Foundation of the Albanian Armed Forces and besides Albanian citizens, Allied militaries have also contributed.

Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka has found a special way to congratulate the men and women in uniform, for the 107th Anniversary of AAF foundation in this earthquake emergency of November 26, 2019, where almost all Albanian Armed Forces are engaged.
On her Facebook message Minister Xhaçka recognizes the Armed Forces as a model of sacrifice publishing also a clip showing a 9-year-old girl injured in the earthquake, reading a letter, written by herself about the Albanian servicemen.

The Turkish airplane with aids pledged to residents affected by October 26th Earthquake arrives in Tirana

A plane with aids pledged by Turkish government to the residents affected by the October 26th earthquake has arrived in Tirana.
The aids consist in logistics such as tents, temporary shelters, heaters, portable beds, blankets, etc.
The Defence Deputy Minister Petro Koci, accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Albania, the Director of the Civil Protection Agency and the Defence Attaché of the Republic of Turkey in Albania, went in Rinas Airport to welcome the team that brought these aids.

Minister Xhaçka departs for NATO Summit in London, Albania has increased Defence Budget

The Minister of Defence, Olta Xhaçka travelled for London as part of the official Albanian Delegation, to attend the NATO Summit that will be held in the capital city of United Kingdom on 3rd - 4th December .
As soon as the Summit comes to an end, Minister Xhaçka will come back to Tirana. Meanwhile she is in a continuous communication with the National Civil Protection Agency for the postmath management situation.
Currently, 1.26% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is dedicated to the Defence sector and 14.42% of the Defense Fund will be used to modernize the Albanian Armed Forces.

as the contact number for all civil emergencies, earthquakes, floods or fires.
Calling this number every citizen of the Republic of Albania affected by natural disasters can ask for help, be informed about caused damages and claim need for technical expertise, or report problems in the area affected by natural disasters.
