The 2020 Defence draft Budget is approved in principle

The Parliamentary Committee on National Security. approved in principle the Defence Draft - Budget for 2020.
The Draft - Budget was introduced by Defence Deputy Minister of Petro Koçi, accompanied by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku and directors at the Ministry of Defense and General Staff.
The Draft - Budget presented by Deputy Minister Koçi shows an increase from 1.26% of GDP in 2019 to 1.33% in 2020.
3rd Company "Puma" Award Ceremony at Camp Arena Base, Herat, Afghanistan

On 13/11/2019 at Camp Arena Base, Herat, Afghanistan, was held the 3rd Company "Puma" Award Ceremony, unit of the 2nd Infantry Battalion (2ndIB).
The company represents the 6th RSM Contingent that the Albanian Armed Forces have sent to Afghanistan.
The ceremony was attended by Base Commander, Brigadier General Giovanni Parmigani, who awarded the NATO medal to the members of the 6th RSM Contingent. In his greeting speech, he assessed the work done by the Albanian contingent and expresses the privilege of working with Albanian troops, the ones that have shown discipline and professionalism in the performance of all assigned tasks.
Land Force Training Center reconstructed, Xhaçka: An important step in increasing professionalism of AAF

Officers and NCOs will now be trained in more comfortable and convenient conditions in the newly constructed premises of the Training Center of this force. Besides the improved infrastructure, the Training Center has also undergone certain changes in structure and curricula, adopting the new NATO concepts.
At the completion of the center reconstruction, the Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka considered increasing the level and quality of Land Force personnel as important.

Our country is the seventh to join this important multinational effort, to ensure freedom of navigation and free flow of trade through the major naval routes in the Middle East.
Albania is joining the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain to contribute to International Maritime Security Coalition (IMSC).
"Central Command of the United States welcomes the Albanian’s participation in the International Maritime Security Coalition (IMSC)," as the US Embassy writes in a statement on social networks.
Senior Course on Security and Defense pays a visit to the General Staff of the Armed Forces

In the framework of the academic program of the Senior Course on Security and Defense (SCSD), aiming to introducing to the participants the important institutions of the Albanian Armed Forces, a visit was conducted in the premises of the General Staff.
Initially the course participants were received by the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Kollçaku. During the meeting, Brigadier General Kollçaku praised the positive development of the course and the commitment of the participants so far.
