Major Tanushi was bidden farewell by his colleagues of the NATO battalion-group in Latvia

Major Klodian Tanushi, the Commander of the Albanian contingent in Latvia, fallen in line of duty at the NATO “enhanced Forward Presence” mission in the Baltic Sea, was bidden farewell with the highest military honors by his colleagues.

Effectives of the nine participating countries in the “enhanced Forward Presence” mission, including Latvia, escorted at Riga Airport the flag-covered coffin, bearing the lifeless body of Major Tanushi, who will be transported by military aircraft to the homeland.
The lifeless body of Major Tanushi is expected to arrive at “Mother Teresa” Airport on Wednesday, 12:45 pm, and will be received with official military honors before being brought to his family.

Condolences for the passing away of Major Tanushi and Sergeant Hasanaj at the Albanian Embassies.

The lifeless body of Major Klodian Tanushi, fallen in line of duty in the  “enhanced Forward Presence” NATO's mission in Latvia, is expected to arrive on Wednesday, May 15th, at “Nënë Tereza” Airport.

Major Tanushi, who passed away a few days after the explosion at Adazi Camp in Latvia, where Sergeant Hasanaj also lost her life, is expected to be brought by military aircraft.

Major Klodian Tanushi wounded in line of duty in Latvia, passed away

Major Klodian Tanushi, who was wounded on May 6, while carrying out military duties, in NATO’s “enhanced Forward Presence” Mission in Latvia lost the last battle. Major Tanushi, passed away four days after the incident, at which even Corporal Zarife Hasanaj lost her life.

Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka described this as another painful news coming from Latvia. “With our heart and soul, we are close to his family, his wife and three children on this day of mourning. They will miss him, but we will all miss him too, every one of us who was lucky to have known him,” - said Xhaçka.
Major Klodian Tanushi was under intensive care of doctors at the Riga hospital but could not survive.

Last farewell to the Homeland's Martyr, Corporal Zarife Hasanaj

Corporal Zarife Hasanaj, Martyr of the Homeland was bidden farewell with the highest military and state honors, and will eternally rest in peace at the Cemetery of the Homeland Martyrs in Tirana. 

Corporal Zarife Hasanaj, part of the EOD Company, fell in line of duty during the NATO Mission in Latvia.
The state funeral ceremony for Corporal Hasanaj was held in the central lobby of the Palace of Congresses...

The body of the Homeland Martyr, Corporal Zarife Hasanaj, arrives home

The lifeless body of the Homeland’s Martyr, Corporal Zarife Hasanaj, who fell while in line of duty during the NATO mission in Latvia, arrived in her native land.

The coffin with Corporal Hasanaj’s body, covered with the National Flag, was transported by military aircraft from Latvia and it was accompanied by her Albanian, Canadian and Latvian colleagues of the NATO Battalion-size group.
