US Air Force Special Operations Wing trains in Albania

From July 29 to August 5, the operational unit of US Air Force Special Operations Command conducted operations and training flights in the Albanian airspace.
Three “MC-130J Commando II” aircraft and their crews conducted training flights in support of special operations in Europe. US planes and troops were deployed at the military section of Mother Teresa International Airport, where they were visited by the Albanian Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka, who was accompanied by US Chargé D’Affaires to Albania, Leyla Moses-Ones, Deputy Commander of the Air Force Colonel Editson Zarka and US Military Attaché Captain James Hilton.
The Armed Forces Wind Orchestra opened its summer season activity at Korça

The Armed Forces Wind Orchestra (WOAF), started from Korça its activities schedule for this summer season.
Professional artists in uniform performed 12 artistic pieces of music plays in the downtown area of the Serenades’ City.
The Wind Orchestra of the AAF performance began with military marches and a special parade in the pedestrian area of the city.
Colonel Hysen Ymeraj passed away at the age of 73

Colonel Hysen Ymeraj was born in Shkozet, Durrës on December 26, 1946 in a family of high patriotic feelings. He has served for almost 35 years in the Armed Forces and throughout his career he has been distinguished for his great, patriotic, intellectual, military and social values. He has devotedly performed different duties such as commanding and giving academic contribution up to the strategic level tasks in the Ministry of Defense and General Staff.
As a lecturer, his contribution to the education and qualification of Intelligence Officers, in the professional management of intelligence units, will always remain appreciated and unforgettable.
Draft law on “Civil Protection” submitted to Parliamentary Commissions

Defence Deputy Minister Petro Koçi, introduced to the National Security Parliamentary Commission and to the Legal Affairs, Public Administration and Human Rights Parliamentary Commission the bill on "Civil Protection”. It will be the new regulator to prevent and cope with civil emergencies in our country.
“Oriku” sets off for the NATO Mission in the Aegean Sea

ALS “Oriku” and its crew members, part of the Albanian Naval Fleet, went on a NATO mission in the Aegean Sea.
21 crew members of the XII Albanian Contingent, part of the “Sea Guardian” mission, set off from Pashaliman Naval Base.
They were seen off by the Naval Force leaders, their family members and colleagues.
