106th Anniversary of the Armed Forces, WOAF concert in “Scanderbeg” Square, Xhaçka: Military, a wonderful model to be followed

On the occasion of the 106th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Armed Forces, the Wind Orchestra of the Armed Forces (WOAF) brought a different atmosphere in "Scanderbeg" Square, decorated for the holiday season by the municipality of Tirana.
The WOAF played military marches, along with festive parts for the audience, among of which were Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka, Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj, Chief of Defence of the AF Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku and many citizens of the capital.
Minister Xhaçka congratulated Mr. Veliaj on his work carried out at the head of the Municipality of the Capital and praised the over one-century old contribution and dedication of the Armed Forces, as an example that must be followed.

The 106th Anniversary of the Establishment of the AAF, Xhaçka: Soon in peacekeeping missions under the UN's umbrella

In the 106th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Armed Forces, a contingent of 66 Albanian soldiers was escorted to “Resolute Support” NATO mission in Afghanistan.
The coming contingent consists of a company, which include two platoons from the Commando Battalion and a platoon from the 3rd Infantry Battalion of Poshnja.
Present at the departing ceremony were Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka, Chief of Defence of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku, and Turkish Ambassador in Albania Murat Ahmet Yörük, Forces Commanders and family members of the effectives that departed in the mission.

Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka, on the 106th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania (AAF), has posted a photograph on social networks, which is published for the first time.
There are four Albanian military men in the first days of the constitution of the National Army in 1912.

The Albanian Naval Force ship "Lissus" rescued 84 people in two successive operations in the Aegean Sea

The Albanian Naval Force ship "Lissus" engaged in two different operation for rescuing and preventing immigrants in the Aegean Sea.
Yesterday evening, at 21:35, the Albanian Naval Force ship "Lissus" detected a boat with 39 immigrants on board, of which 31 of Palestinian nationality and eight of Syrian nationality.
In a second operation, this morning at 10:25, the Albanian Naval Force ship "Lissus" escorted another dinghy boat with 45 people on board, out of whom 31 were men, five women and nine children. Of them, 28 were of Afghan nationality, 10 Iraqis, 5 Syrians, 1 Egyptian, and 1 is still under identification process.

AAF celebrate the Liberation Day in the pedestrian area, Armed Forces Wind Band in its brand new uniform

The Armed Forces (AAF) and the citizens celebrated the Liberation Day in a totally different way. The pedestrian area of the capital served for several hours as a meeting place between the AAF and the citizens. They visited the stands where equipment and effectives from all AAF military units were located.
On this "AAF Open Day” the Armed Forces Wind Orchestra (AFWO) performed during the forenoon wearing its brand new uniform, bringing a festive atmosphere to children and adults. Today, it was introduced for the first time the brand new AFWO uniform designed in traditional Albanian motifs, on red and black colors, and the members of the wind band were especially greeted by Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka.
Minister Xhaçka, during her speech in front of hundreds of citizens, said that Albania’s history is full of war facts and sacrifices, but, 74 years after Liberation, as far as AAF are concerned, it is experiencing a completely different situation.
