Minister Kodheli takes part at the Regional Conference, Adriatic Charter

Defence Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli took part at the Regional Conference, Adriatic Charter, on the topic: “Strengthening of the Interparliamentarian cooperation as a guarantee to the success of U.S. – Adriatic Charter”.
This conference was organized by the Parliament of Albania with the participation of delegations from the countries of the region: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Kosovo and Civil Society.
Present at the start of the conference proceedings were: the Speaker of the Parliament of Albania, Mr. Ilir Meta, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ditmir Bushati, U.S. Ambassador in Tirana, Mr. Alexander Arvizu, the Chairman of the Parliamentary National Security Committee, Mr. Spartak Braho and many other guests.

Minister Kodheli “plants her tree”

The Minister of Defence, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli attended today the activity for the planting of the trees at the Hospital Centre “Mother Teresa” in Tirana. Mrs. Kodheli became part of this initiative undertaken by the youth of the capital, planting her tree at the Hospital Centre “Mother Teresa”. Minister Kodheli thanked the citizens of Tirana for their support to this wonderful initiative. According to Mrs. Kodheli, the message of this initiative is important, but unique, for the contribution we should make in favour to our common environment.

Minister Kodheli follows the third phase of the Armed Forces action for litter collection

The Minister of Defence, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, accompanied by the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo, followed the third phase the action for litter collection. During the day, they stopped at the Kapshtica customs checkpoint where numerous troops of the Armed Forces were committed to the litter collection. Later, they stopped at all the points along the road Kapshtica-Tirana to see the work of the Armed Forces personnel.

2nd anniversary of the fall in line of duty of Captain Feti Vogli, Martyr of Homeland

Minister Kodheli:Captain Fetiu left his deed which is difficult to be forgotten, he is now part of our national memory.

At the premises of Special Forces Battalion in Zall-Herr took place today the commemoration ceremony in honour of the 2nd anniversary of the fall in the line of duty, during the “Eagle 4” mission in Kandahar, Afghanistan, of the Martyr of Homeland, Captain Feti Vogli. In this ceremony attended Defence Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo, the Land Force commander, Major General Zyber Dushku, generals, directors and senior officers of the Ministry of Defence, General Staff and Armed Forces, family members and relatives of Captain Feti Vogli, as well as other guests.

IMOC radar system in full efficiency

Defence Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, accompanied by the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo visited today the Inter-institutional Maritime Operational Centre in Plepa, Durrës, on the occasion of the capacity building of the maritime surveillance system. She was welcomed by the director of this centre, Major General (R) Maksim Malaj.
Minister Kodheli was briefed on the work made for the surveillance and control of the marine space by the personnel of this centre. During the meetings she had with the leadership and specialists of this institution, it was confirmed to defence minister that the radar system, non-functional for more than three years, is completely efficient. This system gave its results just yesterday, making possible the detection and seizure of a ship in Ksamil, which was forces to throw away at sea 50 kg of marijuana.
