Minister Kodheli inspects the former destruction area of munitions in Hajmel, Vau i Dejës

Defence Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, accompanied by the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim bazo, inspected the former destruction area of munitions in Hajmel, Vau i Dejës, which is undergoing a process of control and cleansing by the personnel and means of the Armed Forces.

Defence Minister Kodheli was briefed about the work the Armed Forces personnel is carrying out for cleansing this former shooting range, and emphasized that, the demilitarization process of hotspots continues across the country. This process is very important to the lives of our citizens. The Armed Forces are in charge of this very important activity for the community, added Minister Kodheli.

Minister Kodheli visits the Special Forces Battalion in Zall-Herr

Defence Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, accompanied by the Chief of General Staff, Major General Jeronim Bazo, paid a visit to the Special Forces Command (SFC) in Zall-Herr. Mrs. Kodheli and Major General Jeronim Bazo were welcomed by the commander of SFC, LTC Qazim Hoxha and followed the daily activity of this battalion. Then, both senior leaders of the Armed Forces ate lunch together with the personnel of this unit.

Deputy Minister Mr. Dritan Hila visits the Air Base in Gjadër

Deputy Minister of Defence, Mr. Dritan Hila, accompanied by the Air Force Commander, Brigadier General Frederik Beltoja visited today the Gjadër Air Base.

After the meeting with the personnel serving in this military base and the visiting of its premises, Deputy Minister Hila met with representatives of the media and answered their interest regarding the issues related to the military base, including the allegations made recently by the opposition on the use this base for drug trafficking.
