Measures against COVID-19, Armed Forces in the terrain

For several days the Armed Forces have been engaged within the framework of measures taken by the Albanian Government to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Every day the Military Police and II Infantry Battalion, part of the Armed Forces, are on the ground communicating with citizens to compel them to stay at home.

France and Albania intensify their defense cooperation. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Albania and the Ministry of the Armed Forces of the Republic of France signed the Cooperation plan for 2020.
General Director of Defense Policies Florian Kali and the Military Attaché of the Republic of France in Tirana, Colonel Fabrice Duda, signed the document that anticipate a series of activities of common interest in the Education and Professional Training, as well as intensifying the interaction in the maritime and aerospace fields.

The Ministry of Defense has already a policy and procedures dedicated to the fight against sexual assault and sexual harassment in the Ministry and in the Armed Forces. In cooperation with UNDP Albania, in a special event, the “Policy and procedures against harassment and sexual harassment” was introduced, with the participation of Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka, the Ambassador of Sweden in Tirana; Mrs. Elsa Håstad; the UNDP Permanent Representative in our country, Ms. Limya Eltayeb; representatives of the Armed Forces, line ministries, woman's rights associations in Albania, etc.
