Measures against COVID-19, Armed Forces guarantee discipline in banks and supermarkets

Armed Forces in cooperation with State Police are present in every supermarket and bank between 6:00 - 10:00 AM and 16:00 - 18:00 PM to enforce the rules set as the country is affected by COVID-19.

Armed Forces and State Police are ensuring that citizens respect not only the advice of health specialists, and the schedules but also to keep the distance between each other.

Distribution of food packages starts from Thumana, Çako: Municipalities to identify families in need.

The distribution of first food packages to retired householders and families in need begins. The first ones were the Thumana residents, the most affected by the earthquake on November 26, 2019. Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka has been monitoring the distribution of packages on the terrain during Tuesday’s late hours.

Whereas, today the distribution of packages has continued in Shijak municipality and other surrounding areas, where many residents due to isolation from the Covid-19 pandemic are unable to provide daily supplies.

Xhaçka and “Fundjavë Ndryshe” allocate aid to the elderly and the needy

Charity associations are cooperating with state institutions to help families of retired heads of households or the ones with economic aid. The organization “Fundjavë Ndryshe” has joined the commitment of Civil Emergency to collect as many food packages. They have already begun assigning them to different municipalities.

The Minister of Defense Olta Xhaçka and the leader of the organization “Fundjavë Ndryshe” Arbër Hajdari, while present at the State Reserves premises, called for more cooperation and solidarity during this time, when Albania is under strong isolation measures, due to COVID-19.

The preparation of packed food begins, Xhaçka: Patience, every family in need will be aided

The retired people which are householders and families in need will soon be provided with first aid to cope with the situation created by the risk of COVID-19.

Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka was present at the State Reserves, where she saw closely the preparation of packages that will be delivered.

Accompanied by the Director of the National Civil Protection Agency, Haki Çako, and the Commander of the Support Command, Brigadier General Ndriçim Sallaku, Minister Xhaçka appealed to the citizens to be patient by assuring them that they will have the maximum support from state structures.
