“Women, peace and security agenda in Albania”, Minister Xhaçka: 35, 4% of new officers are women

The number of women serving in the Armed Forces is increased; last year over 35% of newly promoted officers were women, marking a 5% rise since 2018.
These were the findings that Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka, presented at the Conference "Women, peace, security agenda in Albania", organized by the OSCE Presence in Albania and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, on the 20th Anniversary of the adoption of UNSCR 1325.

2020 the year of modernization of SaR structures of Support Command

Here is a brief description of the draft law prepared by the department I lead.
As the previous speaker said, the Multinational Peacekeeping Force of South East Europe is one of the first and important initiatives undertaken in our region with the aim of promoting security and stability, but also promoting good neighborly relations between our countries.

AAF built a baily bridge over Fan River, Minister Xhaçka: The Civil Emergency Infrastructure Reform and Regulation

Beginning from today the 900 residents of the villages of Klos and Fan, the way to go to schools, health centers, or to connect with the rest of Albania through the Nation Road (Rruga e Kombit) is facilitated thanks to the contribution of the Armed Forces - AAF.
The Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka, while inspecting the completion of the Bailey bridge works, praised the engineering experts and the AAF for their contribution to community.

The Coast Guard in collaboration with Guardia di Financa and the Border Police saved 18 people

As the result of a search and rescue operation led and coordinated by the Coast Guard with the cooperation of the Guardia di Financa and the Border Police it was made possible to save 18 human lives in the early hours of 1st February 2020, including one child.
