Ministry of Defence and Albanian Armed Forces have completed the remediation of over 386 thousand square meters of Gërdec village, Marqinet 1 and 2 villages and Vora.
The Minister of Defence submitted the decontaminated area to the local representatives 8 years after the Gërdec tragedy, in which were killed 26 people and were injured more than 300.
Chief of General Staff of of the Italian Army General Claudio Graziano is having a two-day visit in our country. After he was welcome by the guard of honor and the Chief of General Staff of the Albanian Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo, General Graziano had a meeting with Defence Minister Mrs. Kodheli.
Today on the occasion of march 8th, International Women's Day, Defence Minister Mrs. Kodheli has written a letter of congratulation and encouragement to all female employees, military and civilian, in the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces.
Today took over his duty the new Deputy Minister of Defence Mr. Idlir Peçi after he was presented by the Defence Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli. The ceremony was organized at the Ministry of Defence in which attended the other Deputy Defence Minister Mr. Petro Koçi, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo, and all the directors of the Ministry and the General Staff.
In the framework of National Teacher’s Day celebration that coincides with the 129th - anniversary of the First School of Albanian language “Mësonjëtorja”, Defence Minister Mrs. Kodheli met with the teaching staff of the Foreign Language Centre of the Armed Forces. In this meeting also participated the Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces Major General Jeronim Bazo, the Commander of Doctrine and Training Command Brigadier General Dede Prenga, the Rector of the Academy of Armed Forces Colonel Ruzhdi Kuçi and the director of the Center of Foreign Languages (CFL) Mr. Jaup Zenuni etc.
