“Cougar” Air Force Crew back home, after participating in Multinational Exercises in Germany

In the Air Force Facility in Farka, was held today the return ceremony of “Cougar” helicopter Air Force crew, which was part of the Saber Junction 17 and Combined Resolve VIII multinational exercises that took place in Germany under the direction of the United States of America.

Attending the ceremony were the Deputy Minister of Defense, Petro Koçi, General Staff Director, Brigadier General General Tonin Marku, Air Force Commander Brigadier General Vladimir Avdiaj, directors and officers from the Ministry of Defense and General Staff, as well as friends and relatives of the returned crew.

In his opening speech the Deputy Minister Koçi on his and the Defense Minister behalf, Mimi Kodheli, expressed the satisfaction for the safe return of the crew. Also, Koçi expressed appreciation for the highest considerations that the crew received from the organizing parties and the USA.

The Armed Forces construct the bridge in Viçidol

The Effectives of the Armed Forces Engineering Battalion completed the construction of a bailey bridge in the village of Viçidol, in the Municipality of Tropoja, which inhabitants crossed for about 30 years by primitive means.

At the finalization of the works for the construction of the bridge was also present the Defense Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, who said that the response of the Ministry of Defense and of the Armed Forces came in record time after receiving the request from the Mayor.

Albania deploys the First Contingent in the NATO Group-Battalion in Latvia

The Support Command facility hosted today the ceremony of sending the first contingent of EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) to the NATO operational mission within the framework of the Enhanced Forward Presence in Latvia.

Attending the ceremony were the Minister of Defense, Mimi Kodheli, the Commander of the Support Command Colonel Ardian Bali, Commanders of the General Staff and Defense Ministry as well as family members and relatives of EOD members.

The Armed Forces completed the reconstruction of Buna Bridge

Armed Forces Engineer Troops in cooperation with the Albanian Development Fund have completed the reconstruction of the Buna Bridge in Shkodra.

The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, the Minister of Defense, Mimi Kodheli, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati and other guests were present at the ceremony of the inauguration of this bridge.
