AAF builds a bailey bridge for thousand citizens of Klos

Defence Minister, Mrs. Kodheli inspected the construction work of a bailey bridge over the River Mat in the Municipality of Klos. The construction of this bridge comes as a necessity for the people of this area, as the existing bridge built about 36 years ago is in bad condition and serves only for pedestrians.

Remediation of Zaranika group warehouses in Elbasan

The Support Command stated the successful completion of the reduction, remediation and certification of group - warehouses. Preparation and transportation of 272 tons of material was fulfilled by Ammunition and Transport Battalion, while effectives of EOD company and AMMCO's team successfully implemented the control, remediation and certification standards, by remediating an exploited surface of 121.000 m² and 7592 m² of objects that serve to improve local economy.

Minister Kodheli is having a two - day visit in Croatia, invited by her counterpart Mr. Josip Buljević.
In the meetings that Minister Kodheli held with Speaker of Parliament Mr. Željko Reiner, first Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Tomislav Karamarko, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Mr. Miro Kovač and Defence Minister of Croatia Mr. Josip Buljević, they confirmed the excellent bilateral relations and partnership between Albania and Croatia.

United Kingdom confirms the opening of the Defence Attaché Office

UK Secretary of State for Defence, Mr. Michael Fallon, via a letter sent to Defence Minister, Mrs. Kodheli has confirmed the opening of the Office of the British Defence Attaché in Tirana. UK Defence Attaché Office is expected to be established during the first half of the following year, and will also cover Montenegro which is expected to join NATO in a short time.

35th MAG Meeting of RACVIAC

Today has been held the 35th meeting of Multilateral Advisory Group (MAG) of the Center for Security and Cooperation RACVIAC.

The purpose of this meeting was the adoption of the program and budget of the RACVIAC (Regional Arms Control Verification and Implementation Assistance Centre) also the onward prospective and challenges related to the security commitments and challenges in the region and beyond.
